Conservation
From forests and fields to streams and soils, every inch of this farm tells a story of stewardship. For generations, this land has been shaped by people who understood that caring for it means ensuring it can care for the next generation.
Josh Davis carries that legacy forward through his conservation work, both here at home and across the region. With years of collaboration alongside the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), local Soil & Water Conservation Districts, and other land management agencies, Josh has helped landowners bring their visions for healthy, productive landscapes to life.
A key part of Josh’s work includes implementing forest conservation practices through the NRCS’s Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP).Through CSP, Josh evaluates forest resiliency, identifies resource concerns, and implements advanced conservation enhancements that boost soil health, protect water quality, and improve wildlife habitat.
Josh is also working with Corblu on Stream Mitigation Banking, an innovative approach to restoring, creating, or enhancing wetlands, streams, and habitats to offset environmental impacts elsewhere. As a research specialist, he works with landowners and agencies to design and manage projects that both protect critical ecosystems and generate economic opportunities through the sale of mitigation credits.
Whether advising on prescribed burning, habitat restoration, or sustainable forestry, Josh’s approach blends deep ecological knowledge with practical, boots-on-the-ground experience. His projects often include:
Native Habitat
Native Habitat Restoration – Reintroducing native plant communities, improving wildlife corridors, and creating space for pollinators.

Prescribed Fire
Prescribed Fire Planning & Implementation – Using fire as a natural tool to reduce fuel loads, improve soil health, and support fire-adapted species.
Water Management
Erosion Control & Water Management – Partnering with NRCS programs to install measures that protect waterways, improve drainage, reduce runoff and protect natural resources while creating long-term economic value through mitigation credit programs.

Land Use
Sustainable Land Use – Balancing agricultural productivity with conservation values, ensuring the land thrives for both people and wildlife.
Through his work, Josh has built relationships with conservation professionals, agencies, and private landowners across Georgia and beyond. He believes the best conservation plans start with listening — to the land, and to the people who love it.
“Conservation isn’t something you do once — it’s a way of
living with the land every single day. It doesn’t belong to us.
We’re just borrowing it from the next generation." - Josh
